About the event
The 31st anniversary of the Merino Muster. Ski across the beautiful, rolling Pisa Range at New Zealand's home of Cross Country Skiing, Snow Farm NZ.
This annual event is a must-do on any skier, with distances ranging from 1 km (The Mini Merino) a 5 km Snowfarmer and the hotly contested 21 and 42 km events.
The event celebrates the annual mustering of the Merino Sheep from the high country at the end of each summer for winter grazing. With the passing of John Lee, who farmed this land for decades- the 2026 event will be a special one to come together to honour and remember him.
